  • UN Calendar
    Illustration for UN Calendar which will be given to delegates at the United Nations Rio Convention on Climate Change – to be held in 2013. The brief was to illustrate this fact; Producing one kilo of beef requires 15,000 litres of water, while producing one kilo of wheat requires 1,500 litres. By 2030, the world will need at least 50% more food, 45%more energy and 30% more water. Unfortunately, desertification, land degradation and drought are contributing to the global water crisis.

  • San Francisco PUC
    Illustration for a 58' long and 4' tall interactive digital arts panorama at the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission headquarters. The San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) is a public agency of the City and County of San Francisco that provides water, wastewater, and electric power services to the City and an additional 1.6 million customers within three San Francisco Bay Area counties. The illustration shows SFPUC's water transport facilities - from rainwater and glaciers in the mountains to Hetch Hetchy Reservoir, Lake Eleanor and Lake Floyd in Yosemite National Park, water is transported through 167 miles of pipelines and tunnels systems through Central Valley to Bay Area and the Pacific Ocean.

    Illustration and design for the book The Collini Case / Collini-Saken - by German author Ferdinand von Schirach. The Collini Case - a court room drama - has been at the top of the German charts since publication and will be loved by fans of Bernhard Schlink and John le Carré. Schirach also a prominent defense attorney, base his grim stories on real cases and criminals he has defended.

  • :Codes - All The Tragic Heroines
    Record cover design and illustrations for :Codes - All The Tragic Heroines LP on Falco Invernale Records. The two members, Chris and Najah from Belgium and France makes highly beautiful minimal synth at its best and this is the first full lenght :Codes album. The record will be out in a couple of days (mid December 2012) and will be sold out very soon for sure. (So if your're into ice cold dark contemporary minimal synth - don't sleep on this one.) Pressed on 12" black vinyl, limited edition of 300 hand numbered copies.

    A Portrait of Lina Bo Bardi for the beautifully designed Architectural Review and its June 2012 issue. Lina Bo Bardi Brazilian modernist architect was responsible for well known Brazilian modernist classics like Casa de Vidro (1951), The Muse de Arte de São Paulo (MASP) (1960's) and brutalist SESC Pompeia (1977-1986).

Nils-Petter has more than 15 years experience of illustrating and designing - solving problems for clients and making their products shine and making texts and ideas a bit more attractive, understandable and multi layered. A specialized design not only adds an extra dimension to the story - it can also attract the viewer's eye and make him or her pick up the product.
Nils-Petter lives in Stockholm - capital of Sweden. His work has been published in magazines, products and media worldwide with clients from US, UK, Germany, France, Norway, Denmark and Sweden. SF Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC) in San Francisco, Men's Health Magazine in New York, Wallpaper* Magazine and Architectural Review in UK. GMF Partenaire and FIR Records in France. Drehmoment records and ~Scape Records in Germany, Albert Bonniers Förlag, Filter and Café in Sweden. To name a few.
  • Nils-Petter Ekwall är illustratör och grafisk formgivare verksam i Stockholm med över 15 års erfarenhet av illustration och grafisk form. Nils-Petter arbetar internationellt med kunder från både USA och Europa. Från tidningar som Wallpaper*, Men's Health och svenska Café till byråjobb för kunder som San Francisco Public Utilities, Axel Johnson International och bokförlag som The Economist och Albert Bonniers. Nils-Petters arbeten har blivit publicerade i en rad olika internationella designböcker och tidskrifter. 2009 tilldelades Nils-Petter pris i den internationella designtävlingen Digital Artist Award.
